CHIANG MAI — On Saturday, August 22, 2026, MAP Foundation held a hands-on workshop called "AI Video Creation" at the Holiday Garden Hotel. The training brought together 23 participants, 11 women and 12 men, from three MAP Radio networks.
The main goal was to help radio DJs and staff learn new digital tools and keep up with modern technology. Trainers from the Faculty of Mass Communication at Chiang Mai University guided the team step by step through the process of making videos using artificial intelligence (AI).
Learning New Media Skills
Participants practised making short videos from start to finish:
Planning Ideas: Using AI to turn story ideas into shot lists and visual plans.
Creating Characters and Prompts: Designing characters, realistic voices, and images by writing simple text prompts.
Editing and Sound: Adding background music, voice narration, and editing video clips using AI tools.
Team Practice: Working together to write scripts and create finished video clips during the day.
The trainers also discussed how to use AI safely and honestly. They reminded participants to respect people's privacy, follow copyright rules, and ensure community news remains true and accurate.
At the end of the day, participants showed their new video projects to the group and discussed how to use these tools in their daily work.
With these new skills, MAP Radio DJs and staff can now turn their regular radio programs into engaging online videos, helping important community voices reach a wider audience across social media.
