International Labour Day 2025 | May Day
May Day, recognized globally as International Labor Day, honors the contributions, strength, and struggles of workers worldwide. Each year on this day, MAP Foundation, northern labor networks, and migrant communities come together to celebrate the power and unity of workers and to submit a labor statement to the governor.

This year’s event brought together various northern labor networks, political parties, and migrant workers to share experiences and participate in seminar discussions on migrant issues, labor rights, and policy advocacy. The goal was to address the challenges faced by workers and to promote labor protections under existing labor laws.

The event was held from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM and featured a campaign march from the Buddha Center to the Three Kings Monument. Highlights included the public reading of labor recommendations—later submitted to a representative of the Chiang Mai Governor—cultural performances, and a seminar focused on labor rights and workers experiences.

Around 300 people participated in the event, which also included booths and activities organized by migrant networks.
This is not just a gathering—it is a call to action: to raise awareness, foster unity and solidarity, and ensure that no worker is left behind.
