MAP organized a training session focused on developing staff potential through empathetic communication, facilitated by Ms. Naiyana Wai Kham (Phi Nui). The training aimed to equip staff with the skills to communicate empathetically with others, focusing on positive communication to reduce conflicts both within and outside the organization.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Day 1: Focused on self-awareness, recognizing one's own value and the value of others, and listening with intention and meaning.
  • Day 2: Emphasized practicing deep listening with value and meaning. Participants learned to analyze and explore their own identities and the identities of others, using these insights as guidelines for working with diverse individuals.
  • Day 3: Centered on communicating creative messages that reflect the values, attitudes, and perspectives of oneself and others. The discussions highlighted the impact of issues such as gender, language, violence, and representation on individuals and society.

Activities included watching videos, sharing perspectives, analyzing content, and working in teams to create plays. These plays provided opportunities for participants to discuss various viewpoints and listen to feedback from everyone involved. Additional activities included reflection for personal and organizational development.

The workshop not only empowered participants to understand positive communication and its role in reducing conflicts but also helped them gain deeper insights into themselves and the meaning of value. It contributed to team building, reconnected staff through shared experiences, and supported strategic growth within the foundation.
