MAP Foundation is seeking a Field Assistant for Mae Sot office in Tak province
The Field Assistant is in charge of Promoting Migrant Children’s Education (a project for promoting education access) under the Right for All Program (RFA) of the MAP foundation. The objectives of this project are as follows:
1. To ensure that children of migrant workers are not discriminated against and safe in school, support child protection with teachers' participation, and promote understanding and knowledge through sharing information with youths in order to build safe space together.
2. Raise awareness and understanding of the importance of children’s education among migrant worker parents. Migrant worker parents can support children's access to education via extra household income.
3. Support migrant workers' children to access the education system and find suitable jobs according to their own needs.
Job description
1. Plan monthly, quarter, and annual work plans with team leader and community facilitator(CF)
2. Organize training according to the project’s curriculum to target groups in the operation area
3. Cooperate with CF under the project to achieve the project’s goals
4. Request advance budget and manage budget for activities
5. Operate fieldwork to collect data and information on youth in the targeted group
6. Translate documents and letters from donors
7. Coordinate and follow up with targeted youth and community groups in the project
8. Record the results of activities
9. Write monthly reports to the team leader
Desirable traits
1. Fluent in Burmese (speaking, reading, writing), good command in English (speaking, reading, writing), communication in Thai would be good asset
2. Experience in working with youth, safeguarding and child protections
3. MS Office proficiency
4. Ability to stay in Mae Sot and travel to other provinces
5. The ability to drive car and a driving license would be a good asset
6. Only those already in Thailand will be considered for this position.
Salary and benefits
1. Salary 15,000 Baht per month

3. Transportation fee, accommodation fee, and per diem for operating in other provinces
