Job Opening: Women’s Exchange Organizer (1 Position)

  1. Job Title: Women’s Exchange Organizer

The Women’s Exchange Organizer Position (WE Organizer Position) is part of the Women’s Exchange Programme which is under the Right For All Project (RFA) of MAP Foundation for the Health and Knowledge of Ethnic Labour. RFA focuses on the rights for migrant women and provide the space for sharing and exchange the experience in several issues, including the current labour circumstances. This project aims to break down barriers for women who may have differences such as nationality, language, class, background, or occupation. The Right For All Project provides a space for migrant women to learn about their rights, to express their opinions and to raise their voices in order to make changes. The program has a particular focus on addressing violence against women through education, training and providing legal assistance.

2.Job Summary

  1. Provide information and guidance to women who are victims of violence in WE target areas.
  2. Consult, coordinate, and follow up with women receiving support on a case-by-case basis.
  3. Develop the necessary skills specific to WE target areas.
  4. Promote group integration by forming WE groups in the area and empowering women to negotiate, make changes, and access to services.
  5. Organize WE events and lead activities for WE groups in the area
  6. Plan training content, coordinate with trainers, and facilitate the travel arrangements for trainees.
  7. Coordinate with local networks and women’s groups in the field.
  8. Record, summarize, and report on all organized activities monthly, quarterly, and annually to the Program Coordinator.
  9. Broadcast a radio program focused on women's issues.
  10. Collaborate with WE Advocacy to develop women's skills and drive campaigns on women's issues at various levels.

3.Qualifications

  1. The candidate must be female.
  2. Fluency in Burmese (speaking, reading, and writing) and intermediate proficiency in Thai language are required.
  3. Experience working on issues related to migrant women.
  4. Experience in team building, leading groups, and organizing event campaigns.
  5. Software: Microsoft office
  6. Is willing to work flexible hours when needed and to travel frequently.
  7. Able to drive and have a driving license is desirable.
  8. This job is opened only for people who are currently living in Thailand.
